The Artists Trilogy #3

With more lives at stake and games in motion, Ellie, Camden and Javier form an uneasy alliance that will take them from the treacherous streets of inner-city Mexico to the wilds of the Honduran jungles in order to find their freedom. But with liberty just on the horizon, the cost might come at their own redemption.

The final chapter in Artists Trilogy…

There are no words that can explain how I feel about Artists Trilogy. Bold Tricks was the perfect conclusion to this action-packed, thrilling read. There was definitely a lot more action and shooting than in the previous books but it’s understandable since everything should go out with the bang.

“My real nature, my real self, wanted that person to believe in me, to see the good, ignore the bad, and make me feel like I had a future.”

The adventure continues in Mexico as Ellie, Camden, and Javier are on their way to find Javier’s sister, get Gus, and destroy Travis. With the biggest cartel being on their tail, the road is all but easy. Shooting, jumping from roof tops, and wild car chases.. Amazing!!

Things I didn’t like…

I felt very disconnected all through out the book with the characters. With so much action and everything going on, I really wanted to skim through the books. And it makes me feel so guilty because I loved this series from beginning to the end but this was the weakest out of all books. There was so much shooting and racing, it was hard to concentrate on the story and really get a look at everyone’s role in the story. Romance in the book felt rush, like the ending could not have come soon enough.

Things that I liked…

The ending was hands down the best part of this book. The action and romance were perfectly fitted together which made me see how much I’m actually going to miss this series! But Karina Halle is coming up with new series called Dirty Angelwhich should have more Javier in it. Yummmm!!

Overall, if you have been reading this series, you have to finish it. It’s the perfect closure to Ellie Watt’s story.
